Annual Use of Force Report
On November 2, 2021, the Board of Supervisors (BOS) requested the Sheriff’s Office to provide a report to the Board with options for regular reporting on all Use of Force incidents within all custody settings, including details about date of occurrence, type of force used, reason for force used, and other pertinent details, redacted to the least extent possible to protect sensitive information. The Office of the Sheriff presented the First Annual Use of Force Report on January 25, 2022 and the Second Annual Use of Force Report on May 2, 2023 to the Board of Supervisors.
